It was Wednesday when Shaniera Akram’s post banged on social media and the entire moral brigade woke up. Akram’s photo featured herself, lying on a couch with a tub of hummus — we’ve all been there — with a caption reading, “as bad as it gets”. She had, as she later realized herself, never been more erroneous. The foulest was yet to sore the spice. People rushed to her DMs in masses, deeply deeply concerned, and somewhat annoyed. Why Shaniera Akram isn’t Fasting: Here’s The Response of Backlash.
People Bothered her to the point that she has to post her intensions
The moral brigade sprang into action after Shaniera posted a photo of her meal on Wednesday. “As bad as it gets,” she said. “Nearly a whole tub of hummus and Vita Weat.”
They tickle her so much that she had to get up from the couch to provide a clarification — one which she owes to nobody but herself — that she’s in Australia, where the local time was 8:45 pm, so…The killing point here isn’t whether she was troubled or not, the point is why ask? Religion is something very personal.
“To all those people sending me messages on why I’m not fasting. I am in Australia and it is 8:45pm here.”

Shaniera advised everyone to stay safe by wearing masks and getting vaccinated and hoped for life to go back to normal soon. She ended her post by saying that she will try her best to keep her charity going from Melbourne to help people in Pakistan.
