The Plot of the Slipshod Delinquency

Whether it is negligently dispatched by the big name or swiped by a person involved in shipping, a scurrilous matter indeed. According to the sources,

“A recent incident occurred in China’s Anhui province, where a lady named Liu had ordered an iPhone 12 Pro Max from the official Apple website and received an apple-flavored yogurt drink instead.”

According to Liu,

“I have ordered Apple iPhone 12, Pro Max, from the official Apple website and was in a rude shock when I unbox the delivery case. Instead of Apple’s flagship device, there was an apple-flavored yogurt drink. The parcel was not delivered directly to me, it was sent to the parcel locker at my residence. Both Apple and the Express Mail Service, the official courier partner for the company, has claimed that the iPhone 12 Pro Max was delivered to the location of my request. However, I had not received the smartphone but an apple-flavored yogurt. I have filed a case with the local police regarding this. I had paid more than $1,500 to buy the latest iPhone 12 Pro Max, and what I had received!”

According to a post on Weibo,

“The woman called Liu paid a hefty $1,500 to buy the latest iPhone 12 Pro Max and received the apple-flavored yogurt drink in her mail instead. While scams like these are not unheard of, the surprising part is that she had placed the order on Apple’s official website and not from a third-party reseller.”

According to a report in Global Times,

Express Mail Service has appointed people to especially look into this and investigations are going on. Apple has also shared a similar snubbed response to Global Times’ inquiry and has said that the case will be resolved soon.

The most shocking part of the felony is the woman had used the official website rather than a third-party website to purchase the phone and still faced such a huge scam.
