“O son of Adam! However much you call upon Me and place your hopes in Me, I will forgive you without any reservation. O son of Adam! If you have sins piling up to the clouds and then ask My forgiveness, I will forgive you without any reservation. O son of Adam! If you come to me with enough mistakes to fill the Earth, and meet Me without associating anything as a partner with Me, I will come to you with enough forgiveness to fill the Earth.” (Tirmizi)

First Ashra Teaches us to be Merciful to Fellow Beings

While you pursue mercy from Allah, in return Allah wants you to be merciful to your fellow beings as well. Allah undoubtedly loves those who are good to others. In true means, the mere vision of the first Ashra is to practice being merciful and kind to our fellow beings.

• In the month of Ramadan Allah proliferates our good deeds, obliterates our sins and raises our positions.
• By doing charitable assistance, we conjure Almighty’s Grace and Favors unto us. It is an act Allah adores the most.
• It is to train ourselves to suppress anger and antagonism and treat fellow Muslims serenely.
• Shower more mercy on earth, Allah will shower from heaven.
• Incarnate yourself of compassion. Spare the time to visit or call family members who you don’t often speak to, as being close with your family relations will bring you closer to Allah.

Most significantly, acquiring serenity and cultivating good manners are the prime teachings of 1st Ashra. May Allah blessed us to take full advantage of the first Ashra of Ramadan.
