The Joker Movie’s first reactions are coming and it seems that things are looking absolutely Good for the makers. The Critics hailed the Performance of Joaquin Phoenix’s as “Unnerving”, as the Downtrodden Street Clown who transforms into the Joker while wandering the streets of Gotham City. People are absolutely loving the Pavlovian Performance of Phoenix, as his pitch-black supervillain origin story premiered at the Venice film festival on Sunday. The Joker Movie Storms the Ratings at Venice Film Festival and People are Loving it.
So, the name ‘Joker’ is the clear evidence of recognizing it as DC Movie. Though there are characters with the last name “Wayne” and it takes place in a city called “Gotham”. Joker is a comic book origin story with a very little comic book in it.
The film is directed by Todd Philips, who is known for Frat Houses Comedies like Hangover Trilogy, bringing Cinematic Character studies like Taxi Driver and The Kind of Comedy. However, it was a Challenging Task for him to bring out the best From Phoenix as Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger have already set the Bar Higher with the Character.
“The attraction to make this film was that we were going to approach it in our own way”. Phoenix said he did not refer to Past Iterations.
‘Joker’ is Powerful, Confused and Provocative Character
The most Pinnacle Point was Phoenix’s Physical and Mental Transformation and the performance he put up was unbelievable. Phoenix takes Arthur everywhere, doing complete justice with the character by Laughing when he’s not supposed to. It makes for some terribly uncomfortable moments that personify him very acutely. The title of the movie tells you where this is going, and it’s nowhere good.
And so the film swings you between sympathy and pity or humor and awkwardness, sometimes in a single shot. We want to love Arthur. We want to cheer for him. Maybe we even do at times. But we cannot. Not knowing what to believe and how to feel is one of the film’s most interesting and strongest assets.
‘Joker’ Drives the Critics Crazy
The reviews for Joker have rolled in, the moment is Premiered at Venice Film Festival. Amazingly, Joker has Smashed the IMDb Ratings by registering record 9.9 at the Beginning. So, It looks like the Clown Prince of Crime truly doesn’t need the Dark Knight to enthrall audiences. Let’s take a look and see.
The Hollywood Reporter
But this is Phoenix’s film, and he inhabits it with insanity by turns pitiful and fearsome in an out-there performance that’s no laughing matter. Not to discredit the imaginative vision of the writer-director, his co-scripter, and invaluable tech and design teams, but Phoenix is the prime force that makes Joker such a distinctively edgy entry in the Hollywood comics industrial complex.
Phoenix is all in and then some, a performance so dazzling risky and original you might as well start engraving his name on the Oscar right now. No joke, this is a movie — premiering today at the Venice Film Festival — unlike any other from the DC universe, and you will find it impossible to shake off. At least I did.
Joaquin Phoenix gives a tour de force performance, fearless and stunning in its emotional depth and physicality. It’s impossible to talk about this without referencing Heath Ledger’s Oscar-winning performance from The Dark Knight, widely considered the definitive live-action portrayal of the Joker, so let’s talk about it. The fact is, everyone is going to be stunned by what Phoenix accomplishes because it’s what many thought impossible — a portrayal that matches and potentially exceeds that of The Dark Knight’s Clown Prince of Crime.

#Joker is a masterpiece. It's FUCKED UP. This film is sinister and uncomfortable in the best way; I'm actually just shocked it exists… This is a DC film. And it is DARK AND DISTURBING. I am in pure awe and I'm actually delirious. I was not at all expecting that… #Venezia76 pic.twitter.com/tFFVGR2Alh

#Venezia76 The #Joker we fucking deserve. Rings of comedy, rings of fire. It's a circus, it's a carnival, it's a mayhem. Phoenix brings us dancing through this social disease and it's a triumph. #JokerMovie
