Pakistan Becomes ‘Second Muslim Country’ To Manufacture Heart Stents
Pakistan on Friday became the “second Muslim country” in the world to produce heart stents indigenously. Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the N-Ovative Health Technology Facility at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) today.
The Prime Minister addressed a large number of heart patients in the country,
“The step is momentous in the provision of medical treatment with an exponential price difference besides easing the penurious strata of the country. Our satisfaction over NUST setting a precedent of an academic-industry linkup, which is extremely important in exploring the benefits of knowledge and innovation in true spirit. Excelling in the field of science and technology is not difficult for a country known for its nuclear capabilities. We, as a nation, need to set ahead clear goals with all institutions and government departments working in unison for their achievement,”
“The vigilant government’s incumbent aim is to increase exports and wealth creation. Besides this, establishing relations with China and Turkey are dynamic for economic growth and permanency. The government is reassuring local and foreign investments to exciting progress in the country.”
