PIA Plane From Lahore to Karachi Crashed: Nearly Hundreds Died


The saddened news broke in the media on Friday afternoon an Airbus A320 crashed into the Model Colony neighbourhood, next to the airport. A Pakistan International Airlines flight crashed in Karachi on Friday with 99 passengers and eight crew members on board. PIA Plane From Lahore to Karachi Crashed: Nearly Hundreds Died.
At least 11 bodies have been recovered and taken to a Karachi hospital. The flight took off from Lahore and was due to land in Karachi before it disappeared from radar. Rescue operations are on the incident spot to retrieve people stuck in crisis.
Currently, a Voice Conversation Between Control and Pilot is Circulating on Social Media
The pilot thrice said, “mayday, mayday, mayday”! Mayday is the code word narrates as the call of distress. Here is the reported conversation of PK8303 between the control room and pilot.
Control: “appear to be turning left.”
Pilot: “We are proceeding direct, we have lost an engine.”
Control: “runway available to land at 25.”
Pilot: “Roger.”
Pilot: “Sir Mayday, Mayday, Mayday, Mayday, Pakistan 8303.”
Control: “8303 roger both runways available to land.”
Pilot: Mayday, Mayday, Mayday, we have lost an engine.”
PIA Plane From Lahore to Karachi Crashed: Nearly Hundreds Died
PIA Chief Executive Officer Air Marshal Arshad Malik said,
“The pilot told the control room that there was a technical issue and he decided to go around rather than land even though two runways were ready for landing.”
PM Imran Khan expressed his grief
“Shocked & saddened by the PIA crash. Am in touch with PIA CEO Arshad Malik, who has left for Karachi & with the rescue & relief teams on the ground as this is the priority right now. The immediate inquiry will be instituted. Prayers & condolences go to families of the deceased.”

DG ISPR said,
“To speed up relief & rescue efforts, Army Urban Search & Rescue Team with special equipment & rescue specialists flown from Rwp. 10 fire tenders at site have extinguished fire. Military ambulances busy in rescuing injured & providing necessary medical care. Pak Army Aviation helicopters flown for damage assessment and rescue efforts. Urban Search & Rescue Teams are being sent on site for rescue efforts.”
