The first National Amateur Short Film Festival (NASFF) is being done and dusted to provide an opportunity for young film-makers from across the country. Persona ambassadors of the vibrant event

For the event, the ambassadors are celebrities that are already working for the same cause, to depict Pakistan’s positive image in the world. Celebrities include are, Humayun Saeed, Mahira Khan, Gusher Khan, Bilal Abbas, Iqra Aziz, Wahaj Ali, Zara Noor Abbas, Farhan Saeed, and Ayub Khosa.

According to the festival’s official website,

“NASFF has been conceived to accrue local talent willing to produce high-quality short films projecting the ‘real’ image of Pakistan. The festival, under the auspices of the ISPR, will test the students’ potential to re-imagine the country, with the finale being held in April 2021.”

Majid Saeed, a film-maker and professor at the National College of Arts (NCA), told The Express Tribune!

“Elaborating on the vision and prospects of the festival, the reason for initiating this festival is to project a positive image of Pakistan on the global map. The Inter-Services Public Relations has once again headed its reputation of opening the door for the youth of Pakistan any way they can.”

In the immediate past, the first National Amateur Short Film Festival was publicized. The NASFF as it is being raised to will give young and elated filmmakers of Pakistan the to fulfil their visions of cinematography.

The core reason for organizing short films competition by NASFF in Pakistan

The stimuli behind the entire setup are to reform and portray the real image of Pakistan with short films that highpoint the positivity that Pakistani culture and norms haunt by, and which international media hardly showcase.

The bouncing event will be the avatar to crown the best filmmakers, who are thriving for a pertinent podium to manifest their true capabilities for since long. Moreover, it is organized by the ISPR, the finale of the short film event will be held on April 21st next year.

Furthermore, the festival promises no screening or registration fee, with the submission’s drop-dead-date on January 1, 2021. Although the proffers for projects are to continue till March 10 next year.
