The owners of the restaurant, Uzma Chaudary and Dia Haider, purportedly recorded a 1-minute video clip as they were ‘bored’ and decided to humiliate their employee, Awais Aftab, who failed to impress the ‘English-speaking elite’. A video of two restaurant owners in Islamabad making fun of their manager’s broken English has been doing the rounds on social media.
The Disconcerting and Bizarre Dialogue Between an Employer and Employee
The video opens with a woman named Uzma and her friend Dia, who decide to introduce the audience to their restaurant Cannoli’s staff because they are “bored”.
“Awais,” calls Uzma, and the camera pans to a suit-clad man who nervously says “Hi”.
“He’s our manager,” she says. “Dia, would you like to ask him a few questions?”
“How long have you been working for us?” Dia asks.
“For the last nine years,” Awais answers.
Dia adds that Awais was one of their first hires when they opened their cafe. When asked how many classes he took for English, Awais says he took three classes and each class spanned six months.
After introducing their names, the two of them started the impertinent session to scorn him.
The owner, laughing riotously at the situation. Reacting to the answer, the first woman said, “Shabash” while the other continued, “this is our manager who is been working with us for the last nine years and this is the beautiful English he speaks.”
While one was persistently mocking the manager, the other woman ended the clip by saying ‘this is what we paid you for.’
The recent viral clip knocked for six by many of the social media users, as the elites mocked and posted the clip assuredly of the man who gave nine years of his life to their business. The ladies have no fear and reluctance to show the ugly side of their freaking minds.

Cannoli’s team surfaced over social media with the vulnerable apology
Later, team Cannoli defended itself in an Instagram post and said the people “misconstrued their banter with a team member”.
