According to The Star, an Ecclesiastic is Arrested from Madura, Northeast Java in Indonesia for selling drugs to his students at an Islamic boarding school. For which he had articulated the logic that it was permissible under Islamic law and is “halaal”. Cleric Arrested for Selling Meth to Students, saying “it will help Study QURAN better”.

Furthermore, he supported his lucid arguments by associating meth with comfort in studying the Quran and reciting it better.

Ahmad Marzuki was an enthusiastic Islamic pastor but his unreasonable activities were detected by police a few months earlier. He was fugitive and drug-addicted, nevertheless, he still appointed to tutor students at Islamic boarding schools in Surabaya and Mojokerto cities.

An illogical and mocking justification given by Marzuki

On January 20, legislative authorities finally managed to hamper him when he was attending a funeral in Madura. Police officers placed Marzuki and two other drug users and dealers at his home. Moreover, where police found a small number of lethal substances and other drug paraphernalia.

When Marzuki was arrested he absurdly vindicated his felony in these words,”I know meth is illegal under Indonesian laws, but I didn’t find any evidence against it in the Quran”.

In the intervening time, Marzuki will be charged under the Indonesian Narcotics Law

Ahmed Marzuki has committed a belligerent crime and has ethically mortified the entire Islamic world with his unreasonable interpretations. Despite all the disgrace, he will allegedly face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of 10 billion Indonesian rupiahs (PKR112 million).

A religious preacher is a responsible person of his actions and vocals and correspondingly accountable before ummah and Allah.
